Do you have a bucket-list? Or a dream that you keep since many years and you long to fulfil it?

One of my dreams was to be able to see Sakura, the cherry-blossoming spring festival in Japan. Of course I am a fan of Studio Ghibli, buddhism, ZEN, and everything else. Except whale killing. I can’t understand this – I just read an article today that on an Arctic Expedition the Japanese Fleet slaughtered 333 whales… mostly pregnant females. This creates aches in my guts and I feel horrified for them, people, how can you do this?!

And I am going to Japan tonight, for the first time in my life, with all the childish and romantic travel amazement: I can’t wait to taste a culture so different from my own!

Barcelona – Doha – Tokio. Here we come. I hope Sakura waits for us, as it started some 7-10 days ago already.

Nonetheless, there is Sakura in Llinars de Vallès, with full glory and beauty of the blossoming trees.

A blessed, happy Easter for you all, and even happier spring celebration!
